How to Prepare for CCP Orientation

We can’t wait to see you on campus soon and help you prepare for this new experience. Here are some tips to prepare for your orientation day!

CCP Orientation Program Information

• GPS address for parking: 255 East Buchtel Avenue, Akron, OH; North Campus Parking Deck (lot 26).
• Check in location: Simmons Hall
• Check in time: Any time from 9:00 am – 9:15 am
• Program start: 9:15 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Before Coming to Campus

• Print off a parking permit and display it on your dash
• Log in to your My Akron account – some sessions will need you to be able to access your account during the day.
  • Issues logging in? Call 330-972-6888 for help!

What to Bring

• Comfortable shoes – orientation is all about helping you get acclimated to campus, so you will be walking around a lot!
• An Umbrella – orientation is a rain or shine event!
• Layers – sometimes our buildings can be a little cold or a little warm, so dressing in layers is a really good idea.
• Water bottle – we have several water bottle refilling stations on campus, so stay hydrated!
• Family Members – Family members are not required to attend orientation, only students. We love to see families join if they feel the information would be useful for them! There is no cost and no need to pre-register; they just check in with you.
  • Please note: CCP programs does not include a family track. Family members simply attend sessions with their students.
