From the North and I-77 — Follow I-77 southbound and exit onto Wolf Ledges/Grant Street. Turn left at the second light onto Grant Street. Stay straight until Grant Street ends at Exchange Street. Make a LEFT onto Exchange Street. Folk Hall is quickly on your LEFT, across from the PNC Bank.
NORTH and Rt. 8
From the North and Rt. 8 — Taking Route 8, exit at Perkins Street. Turn right, then left onto Union Street. Take Union Street to Exchange and then make a RIGHT on Exchange. Stay straight. Make a LEFT onto Exchange Street. Folk Hall is on your LEFT, across from the PNC Bank.
SOUTH
From the South — From I-77/Route 8, exit at The University of Akron exit off Route 8 marked Buchtel Avenue/Carroll Street. Turn left onto Carroll and then left onto Union Street. Take Union Street to Exchange and then make a RIGHT onto Exchange. Stay straight. Folk Hall is on your LEFT, across from the PNC Bank.
WEST
From the West and I-76 Eastbound — Follow I-76 East and exit onto Wolf Ledges/Grant Street. Turn left at the second light onto Grant Street. Stay straight until Grant Street ends at Exchange Street. Make a LEFT onto Exchange Street. Folk Hall is quickly on your LEFT, across from the PNC Bank.
EAST
From the East and I-76 Westbound — Follow I-76 West into Akron. Take the right fork off I-76 West to Route 8 North. The first exit off Route 8 is Buchtel/Carroll. Turn left at Carroll and then left onto Union Street. Take Union Street to Exchange Street and then make a RIGHT onto Exchange Street. Folk Hall is on your LEFT, across from the PNC Bank.
Getting to Akron
By Air —
UA is 13 miles from the Akron-Canton Regional Airport and 40 miles from the Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, which both serve major airlines. Contact the Office of Admissions for information on shuttle service between the airports and Akron.
By Bus —
Greyhound Bus Service provides transportation to Akron from most major cities in the country. The Metro Regional Transit Authority provides bus transportation in the Greater Akron area.
By Rail —
Amtrak serves Akron with direct service to and from such cities as Youngstown, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and New York. Connecting service is offered to many other cities throughout Amtrak's nationwide system.
