TAKING EDUCATION TO THE NEXT LEVEL
The Marketing major curriculum includes courses such as Integrated Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Strategic Brand Management. Marketing Research classes utilize our focus group facilities and survey software in the computer laboratories.
Through experiential learning in the classroom, mentoring, internships and career development programming, our Marketing Advisory Board members and other professional volunteers help us bring the real world of marketing to each and every student.

The Department of Marketing at The University of Akron consists of faculty with a rich history of business education and close relationships with the professional community.
Dr. Vanja Djuric-Zoric is a Professor of Practice and the Chair of the Department of Marketing at the University of Akron. An analytics expert with a rich background in entrepreneurship and the tech industry, Dr. Djuric-Zoric seamlessly bridges the gap between academia and the business community. Her dedication to professional engagement is reflected in her continuous involvement with industry leaders and organizations. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, earning accolades such as 2022 Cleveland Crain’s 40 under Forty and the 2024 NSME Achievements in Excellence Award.
