Professional & Academic Experience

Amanda Woodrum is the Co-Director of ReImagine Appalachia, a four-state, non-profit coalition of diverse stakeholders focused on driving federal investments into a sustainable development strategy for coal country. She has devoted her career to engaging in participatory action research and building coalitions working to create a more sustainable, equitable economy and the collective blueprint for how to get there. After living in New York City and experiencing 9/11, she returned to Ohio determined to make the state and region the kind of place she wanted to live. She received her master’s degree in economics and a law degree from The University of Akron.
